ATAK TACTICAL COMMS & NAVIGATION COURSE

Service Description

This course is based on the same principles as basic land navigation skills, however it encompasses the electronic form of navigation only, and assumes that data networks & GPS navigation is still up & functioning. This is where you will learn about MESH network communications & the ATAK system. This software was developed by the government to aid in tactical scenarios by providing a superior alternative to older methods of communications & navigation. This course is provided both in classroom as well as in the field. It requires attendees to have acquired a suitable field device to run the ATAK software & a compatible radio and/or mesh nodes in order to run communications protocol plug-ins such as OTTO, GOTENNA, HAMMER, & FORWARDER.
